The artist

The São Paulo artist Elvis Mourão creates black and white images, between which there are colored areas. Thus, a very peculiar universe emerges, which leads the observer's eye to undertake attentive journeys to discover the characters that exist there and how they are organized. Circularity and color indicate regions that are focal points to be uncovered. The choice of the word Hope, as a companion on his journey, shows his understanding of art as a way of, through art, overcoming the contrasts of society.

In addition to creating the images for the OPUS website in a commemorative edition of its 10th anniversary, he created all the communication, such as notebook, cup, squeeze bottle, email signature and other materials.
